Pick a game type
Choose the right Games format based on your campaign goal, build complexity, and reward logic.
Use this guide when you know the outcome you want, but not yet which game format should deliver it. In Studio, every game is added as a Touchpoint inside a campaign, and the picker shows individual game cards rather than family labels.
Default recommendation
If you are new to Games and want the safest first build, start with Wheel of Fortune. It is one of the fastest ways to publish a playable, reward-linked experience.

Compare the main choices
| Goal | Good first choices | Complexity | Data capture potential | Reward fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Instant reveal or surprise win | Wheel of Fortune, Scratch Card, Reveal Card, Simple / Instant Win, 3D Selection game | Low to medium | Low to medium | Best fit for Instant Win; can also use Lottery when winners are resolved later |
| Skill challenge or leaderboard | Memory, Quiz, Catcher, Form | Medium | Medium to high | Best fit for Leaderboard / TOP_X |
| Survey or structured data capture with light gamification | Form, and sometimes Quiz when answers should be scored | Low to medium | High | Often no prize at all, or Leaderboard / TOP_X when the best submissions should win |
| Unlock special content or limited offers | Offer Pass, Offer, or Gated Content | Medium | Low to medium | First Come, First Serve for offers; content-access flows do not always need a prize |
| Seasonal day-by-day experience | Advent Calendar (touchpoint perspective) with Choose a layout | Medium | Depends on the linked touchpoints | The reward logic depends on the touchpoints behind each day |
| Premium branded 3D experience | Premium 3D games | High | Medium | The reward logic depends on the custom concept and is planned with OmniLab |
Match the reward logic to the game
- Use
Instant Winwhen the participant should know the result immediately. This is the most natural fit forWheel of Fortune,Scratch Card,Reveal Card,Simple / Instant Win, and many3D Selection gamesetups. - Use
Lotterywhen the game moment should still feel immediate, but the actual winners are chosen later. This is common when you want a larger campaign draw instead of instant distribution. - Use
Leaderboard/TOP_Xwhen the winner depends on score, speed, or ranking. This fitsMemory,Quiz,Catcher, andForm. - Use
First Come, First Servewhen the real objective is claiming a limited offer. This fitsOffer PassandOfferflows better than a standard game reward.
