Configure outcomes (scheduled / random chance / lottery)

Choose how a luck-based game decides wins, losses, or draw entries, then continue in the canonical rewards docs.

In this article, you'll see how the main outcome modes work from a game builder's point of view, and which Platform reward article to use for the full rules.

In a luck-based game, the Outcomes tab decides what happens when someone plays: an immediate result, a scheduled winning moment, or entry into a draw that is resolved later.

Choose the right outcome mode

ModeBest forWhat the player experiencesRead next
Scheduled RewardsLimited quantities that must be distributed across dates or time windowsThe result is still immediate, but winning moments are released according to a scheduleInstant Win rewards and Attribution slots (simple & advanced)
Random ChanceClassic instant-win campaigns with weighted win and loss oddsThe player gets an immediate outcome based on the configured probability mixInstant Win rewards
LotteryCampaigns where players enter first and winners are selected laterThe player sees an eligible state instead of an immediate prizeLottery rewards

How to decide quickly

  • Choose Scheduled Rewards when reward availability must follow store hours, a daily stock plan, or another controlled timeline.
  • Choose Random Chance when the game should feel spontaneous and you do not need to manage specific winning windows.
  • Choose Lottery when the prize should be awarded after the campaign or after a later draw step.

Not every game exposes every mode

Random Chance and Scheduled Rewards are the common instant-win patterns in luck-based games. Lottery is available on lottery-capable game flows such as Simple / Instant Win and 3D Selection, rather than every game screen.

What stays outside the game screen

The game decides the player path, but the reward still carries the deeper prize logic: quantity, winner or eligible messaging, redemption, and notification follow-up. That is why the detailed setup lives in Platform > Rewards rather than in Games.
