Variant errors
Fix duplicate IDs, inactive variants, and missing placement tracking in Smart Links.
Use this guide when a Smart Link variant will not save, does not behave the way you expected, or is missing from your reporting.
Use the Add Variant flow to set a unique Variant Name and Variant ID, and optional UTM or custom values per variant.

How to troubleshoot a variant step by step
- Open the Smart Link and review the variant list.
- Confirm the correct
Variant NameandVariant ID. - Open the exact distributed URL and verify it includes
?v=<variantId>. - If you used a QR code, scan the exact exported file again.
- Run analytics for the right date range and recheck
