Receipt Game and Manual rewards
Reward participants of a receipt game, and understand the Manual method where you decide who receives the reward.
In this article, you'll set up a Receipt Game Reward tied to a receipt game, and learn when a reward uses the Manual method instead of an automatic draw.
When to use this
- Use a
Receipt Game Rewardwhen participants earn a reward by submitting a receipt — for example a spending challenge or a purchase incentive. - Use the
Manualmethod when there is no automatic winner selection and you decide who receives the reward yourself.
Configure a Receipt Game Reward
A Receipt Game Reward is tied to one receipt game and lives in that game's winning options.
Create the reward and pick the receipt game
In Build -> Rewards, click Add New Reward, choose Create a Receipt Game Reward, then select the receipt game this reward belongs to. That selection ties the reward to the game.

Fill the reward basics and messages
Set the title, subtitle, icon, and quantity, and write the winner message. Add a redemption flow if the winner needs a code or coupon.
Confirm the reward is in the receipt game's winning options
Open the receipt game and check the reward appears in its winning options. That is where the link lives for this category.
Save and validate
Save the reward and validate the campaign to confirm it is earnable.
Understand Manual rewards
A Manual reward has no automatic winner selection. The reward exists in the campaign, but no draw, instant result, or ranking decides who wins — you assign or hand it out yourself. You'll see Manual shown as the method for rewards that aren't resolved automatically.
Use Manual when an operator decides the outcome outside an automatic flow, and keep the participant messages clear so winners understand what they received.
If something's blocked
- Receipt game reward points to a game that no longer exists — reconnect the reward to the correct receipt game, or recreate the missing one.
- Reward isn't in the receipt game's winning options — open the receipt game and add the reward to a winning option.
- You're unsure how winners are chosen — check the method shown on the reward;
Manualmeans you decide, not the system.
