Enable opt-in and choose scope
Turn Opt-in on, choose Campaign Level or Touchpoint Level, and understand what the selected scope changes.
In this article, you'll turn Opt-in on, choose where it is managed, and understand what the selected scope changes for the rest of the campaign.
Prerequisites
- You can edit the campaign in Studio.
- You know whether the same legal wording should apply to every Touchpoint or vary by Touchpoint.
Configuration
Open Terms & Conditions Settings
Go to Build -> General -> Terms & Conditions Settings.
Choose the Terms & Conditions Scope
Select Campaign Level if one Opt-in configuration should apply to every Touchpoint.
Select Touchpoint Level only when individual Touchpoints need their own consent text or terms.
Turn on Is Opt-In Required?
Enable Is Opt-In Required? to make participants accept the configured terms before they continue.
Save the setting
Click Save to apply the scope and Opt-in requirement to the campaign.
What happens next
Your Opt-in stays in the same settings screen. Continue with Configure opt-in at campaign level.
The campaign-level screen stores the scope choice, but the actual Opt-in fields move to each Touchpoint. Open every Touchpoint and complete its Terms & Conditions tab individually.
How to decide quickly
If you're unsure, start with Campaign Level
Campaign Level is simpler, faster to maintain, and right for most campaigns. Switch to Touchpoint Level only when the legal framing genuinely differs between Touchpoints.
Before you switch scope
Terms & Conditions Scope and Is Opt-In Required? are separate controls. Choosing a scope does not automatically require Opt-in, and enabling Opt-in does not choose the scope for you.
When you switch between Campaign Level and Touchpoint Level, review the newly active scope before publishing. OmniLab validates the active scope, so incomplete Touchpoint-level setup still surfaces validation issues even if the campaign-level settings were previously complete.
