Enable opt-in and choose scope

Turn Opt-in on and choose whether one set of terms covers the Campaign or each Touchpoint has its own.

Turn Opt-in on and decide where it is managed, so participants accept the right terms before they continue. This is the single decision that shapes the rest of your consent setup.

Before you begin

  • You can edit the Campaign in OmniLab Studio.
  • You know whether the same wording should apply to every Touchpoint, or vary by Touchpoint.

Steps

Open Terms & Conditions Settings

Go to Build > General and select the edit icon on the Terms & Conditions Settings card.

Campaign Build view, General tab, with the Update Terms & Conditions Settings button highlighted

Choose the Terms & Conditions Scope

Open Terms & Conditions Scope and pick the level that fits your terms.

  • Choose Campaign Level when one Opt-in setup should apply to every Touchpoint.
  • Choose Touchpoint Level when individual Touchpoints need their own consent text or terms.

Turn on Is Opt-In Required?

Turn on Is Opt-In Required? so participants must accept the terms before they continue.

Save the setting

If you're unsure, start with Campaign Level

Campaign level is simpler, faster to maintain, and right for most campaigns. Switch to Touchpoint level only when the terms genuinely differ between Touchpoints.

What happens next

Your Opt-in stays in the same settings screen. Continue with Configure opt-in at campaign level.

The settings screen keeps your scope choice, but the Opt-in fields move to each Touchpoint. Open every Touchpoint and complete its Terms & Conditions tab. Continue with Configure opt-in at touchpoint level.

Good to know

Terms & Conditions Scope and Is Opt-In Required? are separate controls. Choosing a scope does not turn Opt-in on, and turning Opt-in on does not choose the scope.

When you switch between Campaign Level and Touchpoint Level, review the setup at the new scope before you publish. OmniLab checks the active scope, so incomplete Touchpoint-level setup can still surface issues even when the Campaign-level setup was complete before.
