Configure booking notifications
Use the booking-specific notification types for bookable events and understand the key dependencies.
Keep attendees informed at every step of their booking with confirmation, cancellation, and reminder emails. These booking emails apply only to events set to Booking and Check-In, and they should match the promises and practical details in the attendee journey.
The three booking emails are Booking Confirmation, Booking Cancellation, and Booking Confirmation Reminder. You can set them up two ways:
- Choose Global when every event can share the same booking emails.
- Choose By Touchpoint when one workshop, VIP session, or kids activity needs its own venue details, arrival instructions, or reminder wording.
Reminders need a cancellation email
When you turn on Booking Confirmation Reminder, also turn on Booking Cancellation. That way attendees still receive the right message if their booking changes after the reminder goes out.
If publishing is blocked
A few common reasons and how to fix them:
- The confirmation email is missing — turn on Booking Confirmation, either globally under Build → Notifications or for this specific Activity.
- The cancellation email is missing — add a cancellation email so attendees know when plans change.
- The reminder is on but the cancellation email is off — turn on Booking Cancellation whenever reminder emails are active.
- No email delivery is set up — connect an active email integration to the campaign before launch.
