Configure booking notifications
Use the booking-specific notification types for bookable events and understand the key dependencies.
Booking notifications matter only for events using Booking and Check-In. The event-specific types are Booking Confirmation, Booking Cancellation, and Booking Confirmation Reminder, and they should match the promises and operational details in the attendee journey.
Choose Global when every event can share the same booking emails. Choose by Touchpoint when one workshop, VIP session, or kids activity needs its own venue details, arrival instructions, or reminder copy.
Reminder depends on cancellation
If you enable Booking Confirmation Reminder, make sure Booking Cancellation is also active. That way attendees still receive the right message if their booking changes after the reminder is sent.
Validation
If booking emails are missing or incomplete, validation can surface:

notifications.reminder_requires_cancellation.global | Booking confirmation reminder is enabled but booking cancellation notification is not active | Activate Booking Cancellation whenever reminder emails are active. |
notifications.no_email_addon | Email notifications are configured but no email marketing addon (Cheetah or Salesforce Marketing Cloud) is active | Make sure the campaign has an active email delivery platform before launch. |
