3D/AR rendering issues

Diagnose missing assets, unsupported AR, camera issues, and other problems that stop objects from working.

A hunt object does not open, does not show augmented reality, or blocks participants from continuing. Work through the checks below — most issues come from one of a small number of causes.

Symptom

Participants can reach the hunt or object, but something breaks in the object experience:

  • the 3D or augmented-reality view does not appear
  • the AR button is missing
  • the QR code does not scan cleanly in the real venue
  • the object opens but participants cannot complete it
  • a later object looks unavailable even though the participant found its code

Quick checklist before you re-test

Before you try again, confirm:

  1. the object asset is attached
  2. the experience mode is correct
  3. the target device supports the intended augmented-reality experience
  4. camera access is allowed where needed
  5. the route order matches the hunt logic
  6. the interaction rules match the selected question type
