Create a challenge rule

Decide how much a shopper must spend to unlock a reward, and whether they can win it more than once.

Set the spend a shopper must reach before a reward unlocks, so the right purchase earns the right prize. Create a winning option first: a rule needs a reward to point to before it can do anything.

Create the rule

Open the rules panel

Go to Configuration, then Rules.

Add a new rule

Click Add Rule.

Name the rule

Fill Rule Name with a clear label that helps your team recognize the rule later.

Point the rule at a reward

Choose the Winning Option this rule unlocks, then add a short Description.

Set the spend target

The rule's condition is the spend a shopper must reach. The Type is set to Total Amount, the only condition available today.

Set Minimum Amount Threshold to the spend target the shopper must reach.

Decide whether the rule repeats

Turn on Repeatable when the same shopper should be able to unlock the same reward again later.

  • Use this when you run an ongoing offer, such as "earn a voucher every time you spend €30".
  • After turning it on, set Cooldown Days so the reward cannot be earned again too quickly.

If something's blocked

A few common reasons and how to fix them:

  • The rule has no name — add a clear label so the rule is easy to find and manage.
  • The rule is missing a description — add a short note explaining what the rule does for anyone reviewing the setup later.
  • The rule isn't linked to a reward — open the rule and choose a winning option, so a qualifying shopper has somewhere to land.
  • The spend target isn't valid — enter a positive number that matches what you promised shoppers.
  • The cooldown is too short — increase the cooldown days so a repeatable reward can't be earned again right away.

Example

For a "Spend €30 and get a coffee voucher" offer:

  • Rule Name: Spend 30 EUR
  • Winning Option: Coffee Voucher
  • Description: Unlock the voucher after one valid basket of at least €30
  • Minimum Amount Threshold: 30.00
  • Repeatable: off
